24 July 2002 - Planned kidnap victim granted name suppression
Wellington High Court issues suppression order on the name, address, occupation and particulars leading to the identity of the planned kidnap victim
Wanting to protect his family and remain out of the media, the targeted man, labeled MR X on all court documents, filed an application for a suppression order on 24.7.02.

The Wellington High Court issued the suppression order later the same afternoon.

The order prevents any release of name, address, occupation and particulars of information that lead to the identity of the planned kidnap victim.
